Logan October Students of the Month
On October 8, 2025, Mrs. Kull’s class attended a field trip to Boggio’s Orchard and Produce in Granville, Illinois. During the visit, students learned about the life cycle of a pumpkin, gaining a deeper understanding of how pumpkins grow and are harvested. They enjoyed a scenic hayrack ride through the orchard, where each student had the opportunity to select a pumpkin to take home. The class also sampled a variety of sweet treats and spent time playing and exploring the beautiful fall surroundings. It was a memorable and educational experience that combined hands-on learning with the enjoyment of the outdoors.

For advisory this year, each day is designated with a theme. For "Fun Friday Eve" Mrs. Blanford's group chose to play Tenzi as a class. Many of the students had never played Tenzi before and really enjoyed the experience.

Students in Mrs. Michels’s class worked in groups to pick a social media influencer, describe what he or she is famous for, and if that influencer helps people with his or her platform. The students were challenged with using three vocabulary words from their story in their response. This activity was in preparation for their Literature article, “Not Everything It Seems”.

While not new to Princeton Elementary, Mrs. Jamie Vice is new to Logan Jr. High and we are very excited to welcome her to the Logan family. Mrs. Vice taught at our Lincoln Elementary building last year and you can learn much more about her background by reading her bio below! Welcome to Logan, Mrs. Vice!

I am a 5th-grade special education teacher at Logan Jr. High. I hold a Bachelor's Degree in Special Education and Elementary Education. Prior to becoming a teacher, I worked as a paraprofessional for six years, gaining valuable experience in the field. This marks my second year in a teaching role within special education. I reside in Hennepin with my husband, two children, and two labs. In my free time, I enjoy traveling, reading, and spending quality time with my family and friends. I am eager to connect with both the staff and students at Logan and look forward to becoming part of the team here at Logan.
