Congratulations to our 8th grade volleyball team as they beat JFK in the semi-final of the SRC tournament last night! The 7th graders fought hard, but lost their semi-final match to Peru Parkside in an extremely competitive match. Both teams will be back in action tomorrow night at Parkside Middle School taking on Mendota Northbrook. The 7th grade team will play at 5:15 pm for 3rd place and the 8th grade will play at 7:45 pm for the championship!

To help cheer on our Lions, we will be sending a student fan bus to Parkside, departing from Logan Thursday afternoon at 4:20pm. The cost to ride the fan bus is $4.00 and includes admission to the game. All students interested in riding the fan bus must sign-up in the East Office and bring back the signed parent permission form tomorrow before getting on the bus. At this time, the student fan bus is only open to 7th and 8th grade students. If space allows, we will open the fan bus up to the 5th and 6th grades later today. Mendota Northbrook plans to bring a student fan bus as well, so let’s pack the fan bus and show up strong to support our Lady Lions!!

We had to say goodbye to two Logan Junior High staff members during the 2024-25 school year, Anne Dryer and Martha Jacobs. To honor these ladies, new artwork was designed by Mr. Matlick and painted on the library wall during winter break. Anne and Martha devoted their lives to students with their wisdom, passion, love of reading and persistent support. They are missed by so many and will remain "Forever Lions”.
