Due to roads still being ice-covered and drifting snow, PES will be having an eLearning day on 3/17/26...no attendance at schools.

PES will have a 10:00am start on Tuesday, March 17th due to hazardous road conditions. There will be no AM Pre-K classes. Please be prepared for a transition to an eLearning day should conditions worsen.

Due to the forecasted severe weather, PES will be having an E-Learning Day on Monday, 3/16/2026. Stay safe everyone!

Congratulations to both Hawk Amy and Eric Giaquinto who won matches yesterday and again this morning to advance to the Championship round at the IESA State Wrestling Meet later this afternoon at Northern Illinois University! Eric (155 lb class) and Hawk (126 lb class) had a lot of support from their crew today who made the trip to DeKalb to cheer them on. Championship bouts will kick off at 5:15pm. Good Luck Hawk and Eric!

Best of luck to PES Superintendent JD Orwig who is running in tomorrow's 2026 Des Moines St. Paddy's Marathon. Mr. Orwig, pictured here running in 2025's race, finished in 5 hours and 45 minutes last year and hopes to match that time again this year.

A quick note from our school nurses and the Bureau County Health Department:

A huge shout out and THANK YOU to Officer Kruse and Balto for SRO Appreciation Day. Princeton Elementary is so fortunate to have this amazing duo serving the community in each of our buildings as mentors, educators, social-emotional support and law enforcement!

A 10:00 start is scheduled for PES on 1/26/26 due to predicted morning wind chills. Please be advised that if there are problems with busses starting and warming up in the morning, or if predicted temperatures prove to be colder, a full day cancellation/eLearning day is a possibility. Should this occur, a new set of notifications will come in the morning. As for now, we look forward to seeing students at 10:00 a.m. tomorrow!

We had to say goodbye to two Logan Junior High staff members during the 2024-25 school year, Anne Dryer and Martha Jacobs. To honor these ladies, new artwork was designed by Mr. Matlick and painted on the library wall during winter break. Anne and Martha devoted their lives to students with their wisdom, passion, love of reading and persistent support. They are missed by so many and will remain "Forever Lions”.
