Logan Junior High students were presented the 2026 Bluestem and Rebecca Caudill Young Readers' Book Award Book in September 2025. Mrs. Haring shared the titles and a synopsis of each book to each 5th-8th grade ELA class. Three rewards were also discussed at this time. Students that read four Bluestems or three Rebecca Caudill novels were invited to a voting day in March. The Logan winning books were sent in to the AISLE to be added to the state totals. An ice cream party was held in May for students that had read ten or more books. Twenty-one students enjoyed making their own ice cream sundaes! Eight students accepted the challenge to read all twenty titles. These readers were invited to a luncheon held in the library on May 13th. They enjoyed eating and sharing about their favorite book from the list. Each reader received a book from the 2027 state award list.
