Third grade students have been learning all about recycling and the difference that each person can make in our world. In connection with this study, students developed incredible Earth Day inspired “Trash to Treasure” projects where they took recycled trash and turned it into useful and unique items! ♻️🌎 We are so thankful to all of the family and friends who were able to attend this incredible learning experience!

Big thanks to the PPD for hosting our third graders! The students loved learning more about the team—especially K9 Lucy and Balto. What an awesome learning experience! Grateful for our community partners.

Third grade and Bright Beginnings partner up for a Reading Buddies program!📚

Mrs. Jones’ and Mrs. Cartwright’s classes at Lincoln Elementary proudly sponsored a fundraiser to support the Disabled American Veterans organization. Together, the students raised just over $500. For every $250, the DAV sent 24 flags to proudly be displayed outside Lincoln School.

Lincoln Elementary hosted a special Veterans Day Program on Tuesday to honor all the men and woman who have served our country. Happy Veteran's Day and thank you all for your service!





Third grader students completed a Mystery Science assignment recently, and created an X-Ray of their hands to answer the question, “Why do our skeletons have so many bones?”🦴




Lincoln staff celebrated Halloween on Friday. Hoping you all had a very safe and and very happy Halloween!

Mrs. Dennison's fourth grade class had a blast creating a model robot hand in science recently! They are studying how the human body works and moves! Hands-on Science experiments are SO much fun!





Lincoln students were suprprised by members of the PHS Football Team as they were there to greet them entering the building on Friday morning!

📚📘 Princeton Public Library Visit!📕📖
Third graders took their annual walking trip to the Princeton Public Library. During their visit, they learned all about the PPL’s Summer Reading Program and all that the PPL has to offer!
Special thank you to Mr. Ron for hosting us, explaining the program, reading the best read aloud, and engaging the students in a grade vs. Mr. Ron rock, paper, scissors game!

✨Home of Festival 56✨
Students had the BEST time bringing learning to LIFE thanks to the amazing partnership with The Grace Theater. After studying a unit on plays and dramas, students were able to make text to world connections through this incredible opportunity. They learned about the theater’s history, sound and light effects, elements of drama, stage directions, and so much more! Even a few of us got to be ON STAGE for some real life action!
Lincoln is beyond thankful to Maureen, Jim, and Michael, and everyone at Festival 56 for the informative, engaging, and behind the scenes experience! Partnerships like these are so invaluable to our schools and our students, so thank you!

Third graders visit the Radiology Department at OSF in Princeton in connection with their Science curriculum! Students were able to learn more about the science behind x-rays, ultrasounds, and CT scans. They engaged in a wonderful hands on experience thanks to the X-Ray techs at OSF! Not only that, but students were also able to explore what a career and education path might look like for this profession.
Thank you to OSF’s Radiology Department for this amazing partnership and experience! What an incredible opportunity to bring our learning to life and build community relationships!! You went above and beyond for our students, and we are SO grateful!🩻❤️☀️

Finally, in honor of this project and Earth Day, third graders welcomed family and friends to tour their “Trash to Treasure” creations!♻️🌎

🐷🐓🐔🌾 AG FAIR! 🚜👨🌾🐄🐴
Fourth grade classes traveled to the fairgrounds to enjoy exhibits and presentations for the Ag Fair! We are so thankful for this incredible hands on and engaging opportunity. The Ag Fair helped students learn more about agriculture in our area and connect with those in the industry.
We are so grateful to everyone in the agricultural world in our area. We now better know what a crucial component farming is to our way of life here in Bureau County! The Ag Fair was a huge success and a perfect way to bring learning to life, while connecting with our community.
