Jefferson started the school year off with lots of new friendly faces this year, and we are so excited to welcome Gracie Ross to First Grade, Holly Kitchens to Music, Rachel Bystry to Special Education, and paraprofessionals; Kelsey Hubbard, Zoe Starkey, and Kathleen Ellis!


Students in Mrs. Scott's class have been working on their reading comprehension skills and sharing letters they wrote to their classmates for their Superkids writing time!



First Grade students got to spend the day at Tanner's Orchard last week. They followed the life cycle of an apple from seed to cider! They even got to sample fresh pressed cider and donuts!!

We do more than just read in the Jefferson Library! This week we showcased skills we have been learning during Computers this year.💻 First Graders combined their creativity and clicking & dragging skills to compose BEAUTIFUL music on their Chromebooks.🎵 Second Graders demonstrated their typing, spelling, creative writing,Google Slides knowledge, public speaking and their highly developed sense of humor by designing their own Graphic Novel pages in Google Slides. It has been a great year in the library. 🤩

The second grade students learned all about how awesome pigs are in "Ag in the Classroom"!!!!🐷🩷


The Princeton Fire Department spoke to Jefferson first grade students about fire safety and fire fighter gear!
They demonstrated for the student all the protective layers it requires to stay safe and how quickly they have to be able to put it all on! (they may have counted a little faster than the stopwatch ; )

Jefferson Library enjoyed special guest reader and local author, Julie Pinter on Friday. Julie shared pictures, videos and her experiences in Uganda with students and read her published book "An Unusual Love" about a unique bond between two special elephants.

Mrs. Murray's first grade class learned about the first thanksgiving and celebrated with a traditional feast of craisins, cheese, beef jerky, bread and butter. They even made their very own butter from scratch!


Mrs. Andersons class participated in another year of Socktober! 495 pairs of socks were so kindly donated to those in need. The socks are distributed to Freedom House and Peru Pads. ❤️🧦❤️🧦❤️


Mrs. Cartwright's class finished up their lesson on the Rain Forest! They learned about all the animals that live in the Rain Forest and the components of their habitats. They also got creative and made the animals and habitat themselves to decorate their classroom and hallway!


Fight Like Erin Night
In support of Erin and the Matlick family, Logan Jr High will be hosting a "Fight Like Erin" night during their boys basketball games on Tuesday, December 12. The 6th grade game will tip off at 4:30 pm at Logan Jr High, and 7th grade will tip off at 6:00 pm at Princeton High School (8th grade game will follow). There will be a lot of fun at this event, and multiple ways to show support for the Matlick family including a silent auction, 50/50 and much more.

Socktober Success! 🧦Mrs. Anderson's 2nd Grade class set a goal of collecting 200 pairs of socks for those in need with all donations being divided between Freedom House and PADS.
They collected 1,001 pairs of socks of all shapes, sizes, and colors! They celebrated yesterday with a sock and slipper day!

Kicking off another year of 2nd & 7 “Tackling Illiteracy” at Jefferson Elementary School today! This month features varsity student-athletes from PHS Volleyball and Golf reading a story about sharing feelings and setting boundaries.
Every 2nd grader got to take home a new book! 📚
